The PPC Division facilities comprise a Ready Room, a covered shooting area and turning target positions at the 20 yd, and 50 yd ranges. Practices are generally held on Saturdays from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Check the Calendar for times and dates of Competitions.

TOURNAMENT NAME: The Vancouver Island Shooting Association - Monthly Match
Approved by the Canadian Police Combat Association (C.P.C.A.)
COURSE OF FIRE: The C.P.C.A. 1500 course of fire, as per C.P.C.A. Rule 7 - Course of Fire, will be the course of fire.
The Duty Pistol course of fire will be the C.P.C.A. Duty Pistol
Course of Fire as per C.P.C.A. rule 7 - Courses of Fire.
Following some monthly matches we will conduct a team and/or side matches. These are fun/practice matches only and follow thecourse of fire as set down in the C.P.C.A. rules but are not C.P.C.A. approved and not eligible for any C.P.C.A. awards programs of any kind.

Nanaimo Fish & Game - 1325 Nanaimo Lakes Rd., Nanaimo, B.C.
Victoria Fish & Game - 700 Holker Place, Victoria, B.C.
North Saanich Rod & Gun - 1353 McTavish Rd., Sidney, B.C.
RULES: Current C.P.C.A. rules shall govern.
COMPETITION OPEN TO: Any current member of C.P.C.A. & V.I.S.A. Will waive V.I.S.A. membership if competitor resides outside the Vancouver Island Area.
ENTRY FEES:
1st. Individual Match - $18.00,
2nd Individual match (ie Duty Pistol) $5.00 (includes C.P.C.A. & V.I.S.A. Reg. Fees)
Fun/Practice matches - $2.00 each
Fees payable on the date of the match upon registration.
ENTRIES CLOSE: On the date of the competition at 11:00 AM.
ENTRY LIMIT: 70 competitors
FIRING STARTS: 10:00 AM on the date of the competition.
CLASSIFICATIONS: C.P.C.A. classifications will be used. Classifications from other associations may be recognized at the discretion of the Match
Sponsor and in keeping with current C.P.C.A. rules.
AWARDS: Match Winner and 1st in each class providing there are three or more competitors in each class.
MATCH TYPE: This is an unsquaded individual match. Competitors will be assigned a relay in which to fire upon arrival at the range.
TARGET: The B-27 target will be used.
RANGE: These are all outdoor ranges, measured in yards. The Nanaimo Fish & game range has turning targets. The other ranges have fixed targets.
SCORING: Competitors will score the targets of the competitor to their right.
The scoring will be done at the conclusion of each relay and will be done in the designated scoring area. Scoring will be performed in keeping with C.P.C.A. rules.
PLUG TYPE SCORING GAUGES: A scoring gauge (plug) may only be used by the Official Referee to determine the value of close shots. The Official Referee, at his/her decision, may use the device only when the competitor has initiated a scoring challenge in accordance with C.P.C.A. rules. A competitor may use a scoring overlay.
CHALLENGE FEE: A challenge fee of $2.00 will be charged to competitors initiating a challenge. The challenge procedure will occur as outlined in the C.P.C.A. rules.
EQUIPMENT & AMMUNITION: As described by standards outlined in C.P.C.A. rules.
* The March, June, and August matches will count the Distinguished matches for points towards the VISA
Distinguished program. The others are for fun/practice only.
