Denton Earns 27 Yd Mark
Sunday, the 22nd of June started out as a pretty normal day for Trap Co-chairman George Denton. It was the second day of our Summer Classic Trapshoot and the weekend had been a good one.George had been able to borrow back his beloved Browning Trap Gun that he'd foolishly sold earlier this year(we ALL told you not to).Shooting from the 26.5 yard line in the final event George was able to shoot a score good enough for second place and to finally move back to the 27 yard line. For those of you not familiar with trapshooting, the 27 yard line is the Holy Grail to trapshooters. It's one of the most difficult achievements in all of the shotgun sports. The Nanaimo F & G club has only had a few shooters reach the 27 yard line in recent years.George joins Jack Gilmour,Alf Ettinger, and Waide Stennes in this elite club.
Congratulations George. We're all proud of you.
